Monroe enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryan and Olivia, ten siblings, wife Mary (Russell) Howard, grandson Adam Terry, and granddaughter Martha Terry.
Children: Barbara Howard of Knox, Greg Howard of North Judson, Debbie Lenart of North Judson, Eric Howard of Chicago, Illinois., Jackie Theis of North Judson, and Daniel Howard of North Judson, as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
