Sharon Louise Masters Butler, age 70 of Cowan, passed away Monday, December 6, 2021 at Southern TN Regional Health System. She was born June 3, 1951 in Springhill, LA to the late Curtis Alvie Masters and Anna Elaine Ellzey Masters. Sharon was employed as a medical transcriptionist for many years and had also worked at the Wal-Mart Vision Center. She loved being with her family, grandchildren and her loving church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, George Butler. She is survived by her daughter, Lynde (Jimmy) Davis of Winchester; son, Rhett (Noelle) Butler of Galesburg, IL; grandchildren, Kaleb Davis and Kaleigh Davis, both of Winchester and Josiah Butler of Galesburg, IL; sisters, Sandra (John) Butler of Cowan and Maria (Grant) Boyett of Sarepta, LA; nephew, Eric (Mary) Butler; nieces, Christy (John) Sweeney, Heather (Shelby) Morgan and Hannah (Bretton) Fergerson; two great-nephews, Brantley Steele and Rivers Fergerson; two great-nieces, Carolina Fergerson and Kensley Morgan; one aunt, Para Lea Thaxton of Plainview, LA and many, many cousins who loved her very much. Visitation will be 10 am-12 pm Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12 pm in Moore-Cortner Chapel with Rev. Bill Welch officiating. Interment will be at Watson-North Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Cowan Church of the Nazarene.
