Last Rites Held for B.B. Shelton

Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah
Belle Shelton, 60, were held
Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist
Church of Mobeetie with the Rev.
James E. Burkham of Bushland formal of Mobeetie and Gene Fort of Lefors
And Rev. C. C. Lamb pastor of
Methodist Church officiating.
Mrs. Shelton died at 7 am Friday in
the home of her daughter Mrs. Pauline
Wolfe of 4623 Bowie in Amarillo.
Beulah had been in failing health for
the past two years.
Mrs. Shelton was born July 22, 1900
in Silverton, Texas and was united in marriage with Henry Shelton in 1921
and to this union was born eight
children She and Henry moved to the
Mobeetie community in 1920 to a farm
north of town. In 1957 they moved to
town.
Beulah was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Mobeetie and a
past matron of the Mobeetie Order
of Eastern Star. She had been
active in star work until her health
Started to fail.
Mrs. Shelton is survived by four
daughters, Mrs. Suzy Jaunell
Eberting of Laketon, Mrs. Jimmie
Irene Allen of Las Cruce, NM, Mrs.
Willie Mae Steen of Chasing, and Mrs.
Pauline Wolfe of Amarillo, four sons
Henry of San Diego, CA, Tyson of
Elk City, OK, Ronald Mac of Fitch,
and Joe of Mobeetie, a sister Mrs.
Johnny Claterbough of Fayetteville,
ARK, 22 grandchildren and 2 great
Grandchildren and a host of friends.
Active pallbearers were George B
Dunn II, Ed Johnston, J. B. Oglesby,
Bob Galmor, Buck Scribner, and
Bill Morgan. Honorary pallbearers
were Jess Patterson, Grady Harris,
T. A. Greenhouse, Walter Coward,
Austin Caldwell, Bill Eberting,
Henry Flanagan and R. C. Pugh.
Eastern Star Funeral services
were held at the church by the
Mobeetie Chapter No. 554 Order of
the Eastern Star.
Burial was in the Mobeetie
Cemetery under the direction
of Duenkel Carmichael Funeral home
of Pampa.
