Rev. Sheryl L. Stewart age 72 passed away December 4, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was born June 4, 1949 in Canada and had lived in this area for the past 12 years.
Sheryl was a retired RN and worked as a ward nurse at Manhattan Psychiatric Center for 3 years. She worked in the medical department at Attica Correctional Facility for 12 years and the psychiatric department at Albion Correctional Facility for 5 years. Sheryl was ordained in the United Church of Christ in Maine and served as an interim minister with two other ministers at the Gaines Congregational United Church of Christ in Albion.
She was predeceased by her mother Maxine Whipple Ferguson and several close friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jaime; daughters Wendy (Doug) Covert, Tammy; grandchildren Kristy, Dominic, Ara, Sophia.
