Amos Andrus Webster, a farmer, of Long Meadow, Mass., and Enfield, Ct., b. July 10, 1781, at Newington, Ct., married Nov. 3, 1807, Mary Royce, b. May 25, 1789, and bap. July 36, following, daughter of Ephriam Royce and his second wife, Abigail Andrews, the widow of Samuel Andrews. She afterward, probably, mar. a third time to a Mr. Richards, as the private record gives her death, July 1836, aged 86 yrs., under the name of Abigail Richards.

Children: Abigail Smith, b. Sept. 16, 1810; William Andrus, May 24, 1814; Mary, b. at East Long Meadow, Mass., Dec. 29, 1815; Henry, April 25, 1821; Caroline Elizabeth, Nov. 24, 1828.

Amos Andrus Webster, Jr., died at Hartford, Ct., Sunday, Dec. 7, 1862, at 6 P.M., aged 81 yrs., and was buried at Enfield, Ct., having lived to see four generations. His wife, Mary Royce, died at Enfield, Ct., Sunday, Oct. 30, 1853, at 11 P. M., aged 65 yrs.
