Reverend Janette Jackson passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her home in Hendersonville, Tennessee. She was born on September 10, 1932 in Huttig, Arkansas to the late W.C. Langley and Orene Deshazo-Langley.
She is survived by her daughters, Darla Jackson-Hughes and Jana Jackson; grandchildren, Brianna Hughes-Thiede and Bradford Hughes; 5 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of family and friends.
Mrs. Jackson's greatest joy was to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and to extend His love to people in tangible ways. Along with her husband, Eugene (Gene) Jackson, she worked tirelessly to spread a message of hope to thousands of people throughout the nation and around the world.
She was an excellent seamstress, and she enjoyed blessing her family, friends, and those in need with attractive clothes. She had a gift of hospitality, and her home was often filled with the sound of happy chatter as everyone enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal at her table.
She served faithfully as a pastor's wife, working hard to juggle the needs of her family while making sure that her husband's ministry ran smoothly. She was truly a woman of excellence and handled every task, both great and small, with utmost care. She touched many lives with her huge smile and her determination to finish well. She will be greatly missed!
A celebration of life service for Janette will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens, 1150 South Dickerson Road, Goodlettsville, TN 37072. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
