McKinney, James Santon age 92, of Deephaven, formerly of Mankato, went home to be with the Lord on November 28th , 2021. He is preceded in death by his wife Edna Mae McKinney, former wife Phyllis Norman McKinney, parents Charles Vernon McKinney and Clara
Mae Santon, great granddaughter Sophia Zilka, siblings Kathryn Freeburg, Dorothy Streater Dirkswager, Charles McKinney, Jr. and Martha Schindle. He is survived by his children Steve (Cheryl) Swanson, Sherri (John) Carlson, Sandy (Mike) Olson, and David (Jen) McKinney. Jim was blessed with 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and many loving relatives and friends.
Jim was a teacher in the Minnetonka School District for over thirty years, primarily 6th grade at Groveland Elementary. Jim enjoyed fishing, wood carving and spending time with his family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Calvary Lutheran Church, 18360 Minnetonka Blvd, Deephaven, MN 55391 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to Donor's choice.
