Jody Bert Carter, age 30, of Winnfield, LA, died November 19, 2003 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Jody was a bull rider and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved the outdoors.
Funeral services were under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Winnfield, LA. Funeral services were at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2003. Reverend Dick Debusk, Reverend Kenny Bratton, and Reverend Bobby Dun officiated. Burial was in the Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Williana, LA.
Survivors include his parents, Quincy and Carol Carter of Williana, LA; one son, Rodee Owen Carter of Winnfield, LA; one sister, Kayla Cheatwood of Castor, LA; and two brothers, Scott Carter and Dewayne Carter both of Williana, LA. Pallbearers were Paul Jordon, Doug Jordan, Trent Pray, Jacob Wise, Lynn Chelette, Justin Shaw, Deric McDow, and Daryl McDow.
Honorary Pallbearers were Brandon Cheatwood, Todd Lemoine and Chris Maloy.
