Heather LaDawn Slaughter, age 42, of Goodman, Missouri, passed away at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, December 6, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri. On October 25, 1979, she was born in Wichita, Kansas, to Henry and Kimberly Carol (Gardner) Thomas. On July 21, 2009, Heather married Destry Slaughter in Goodman. She was a homemaker and loved cooking, canning, doing arts and crafts, listening to music, and camping with her family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Destry, of the home; parents, Henry Thomas of Joplin, and Kimberly Thomas of Rogersville, Missouri; three children, Ryan Severs of Neosho, Emma and Mason Slaughter of Goodman; granddaughter Abbi Severs of Neosho; one sister, Shawna Wicklund of Neosho; two nieces, Jordan Wicklund of Baxter Springs and Kylee Wicklund of Neosho; and a host of dear family and friends.
Her brother, Torry Thomas, preceded her in death.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories in Neosho, Missouri.
