Margaret Pauline Bell Hood, 91, wife of the late John Verner Hood, of West Union, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at her residence.
A native of West Union, SC, Mrs. Hood was the daughter of the late John Ernest Bell and Mary Anne Poore Bell. She was a retired seamstress and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hood is survived by her daughters: Vicki Bearden, Lisa Martin (Randy) and Karen Powell (Michael); sister: Eva Anne Opperman; grandchildren: Matthew Phillips, Allison Phillips, Meghan Martin, Daniel Ibanez, Emily Powell, Benjamin Martin, Ethan Powell and Vera Martin; great-grandchildren: Memphis Phillips, Mitchell Phillips, Johnathan Hendrix and Kayleigh Hendrix.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hood is preceded in death by her sister: Frankie Bell; daughters: Susan Hood, Wanda Hood and baby girl Hood; son-in-law: Earl Bearden and grandson: Andrew Martin.
Graveside services will be at Oconee Memorial Park.
