Rockport, IN – David W. Chandler, 80, of Rockport passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Signature Health Care at Hillcrest in Owensboro, KY.
David was born in Spencer County, Indiana on October 23, 1941 to David and Lorene (Sandage) Chandler.
David was a 1959 graduate of Chrisney High School. He was self-employed glass installer and worked as a bartender for many years at Sportsman Bar & Grill in Rockport. He coached baseball, liked to catfish
and I.U. Basketball.
David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly June (Poole) Chandler; son, Randy Chandler; and sisters Edna Meredith and Mary Ann Throop.
He is survived by his grandchildren Breanna Reese (T.J.) and Brennan Chandler (Shelby); 3 great-grandchildren Mason and Marleigh Chandler; sisters, Dorothy Higdon (Ernest) and Jane Gasaway, and sister-in-law Peggy Frobeter.
Services will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Boultinghouse Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Visitation will start at 11:00 until time of the service. Burial will be at Sunset Hill.
