As a first grader, Brian won a chess tournament against competitors in the fifth and sixth grades. Brian graduated from Judge Memorial High School in June of 1998. During his junior year he served as a United States Senate Page in Washington D.C. After graduating from Judge, he attended the University of Pennsylvania and was awarded a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a gifted student winning the Fredrick Ketterer Memorial Award for excellence in bioelectrical engineering during his senior year of college. Following graduation, through his employment at Teledrill Inc., he was instrumental in developing new technologies that promise to revolutionize the oil industry. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a risk manager at Reagan Outdoor Advertising and was enjoying outstanding success in his academic studies in the Joint J.D./M.B.A. program at the University of Utah.
While at the University of Pennsylvania, he met and married the love of his life, Cara Kusko, on March 8, 2003 in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Brian's parents often described Brian and Cara's marriage as "a match made in heaven". Above all else, he was both an exemplary husband and loving father to his wife and three young children. Brian, despite growing up in the shadow of Rice-Eccles Stadium, was an avid B.Y.U. football fan. His ability to withstand his two older brothers' criticism of his loyalty to the Cougars demonstrates his tremendously strong resolve to remain loyal to what he believed in. Brian excelled athletically in ice hockey, and second only to his wife and children, hockey was his passion. While at Judge, he was named most valuable player in 1997 and during his senior year, as the team captain, led the Bulldogs to win the Northern Division Championship. He was twice named to the Utah High School Hockey All Star team. He continued to play ice hockey at the University of Pennsylvania. Brian was a starting defenseman for three years, and again during his senior year, he helped his team win the League Championship.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Cara; daughter, Aurora; sons, Brian and Caleb; father, William; mother, Julia; in-laws James and Cheryl Kusko, Allentown, Pennsylvania; sister, Frances (husband Jake Copinga); brothers, Dewey A. Reagan (wife Kari Jo) and William Reagan II (wife Lucy), Austin, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as a niece and two nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, A.J. and Mildred Reagan, and David and Frances Dolowitz. We will all miss Brian's engaging smile, warms hands and loving heart. He was truly a gift to all who knew him; his gentle manner and unselfish kindness will always be remembered.
