He was a graduate of Owensville High School (Class of 1951) in Rural Clermont Co., OH and attended the Ohio Mechanics Institute and St. Joseph's College. A dedicated employee of the Otterbein Homes based in Lebanon, OH, he retired in1996 as Vice President responsible for construction. During his career, he oversaw numerous projects, including the establishment of three separate Otterbein campuses in Ohio.
He was a member of Masons F & AM Lodge #135 in Butlerville, OH.
Favorite pastimes included golfing, reading and researching genealogy.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 18, 2021 at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys, with the Rev. Lynn Huffman officiating. Entombment will take place at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima, OH.
Visitation is after 10:00 on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Otterbein Dilgard Fund (for benevolent Ministries) or Puerto Rico Feeding Ministry. Condolences may be expressed or memories shared with Don's family via: www.millerfuneralhomes.net.
