Mr. Lockhart was born March 21, 1951, in Pine Bluff to Kermit Kelly and Maxine Ruth Lockhart. He was a 1969 graduate of Humphrey High School and a life-long Arkansas County farmer. He was a Baptist.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Major Lockhart; and a sister, Claudette Ruth Lockhart Bagwell.
Survivors are his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Margaret Hobbs Lockhart; son, Robert Wayne Lockhart (Debbie) of Humphrey; brother, Dwight "Hotsey" E. Lockhart (Earleen) of Stuttgart; sister, Marjorie C. Dobson of Stuttgart; two grandchildren, Valenya Lockhart Franks (Trey) and Randall Wayne Lockhart (Courtney); and two great-grandchildren, Raedyn Abbott and Torrin "Jude" Lockhart.
Graveside services, officiated by Bro. Johnny Henderson, are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Frazier Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
