Meryl J. Ottmers was born on August 27, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas to Harold & Joyce Ottmers the third born of four children. She spent her grade school years in Ft. Stockton, Texas. Her family returned to San Antonio in 1968, where she attended Sunset Hills, Pat Neff and graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes in 1973.
Meryl also served as Sunday School Secretary at Mt. Olive. She was employed most recently at Stone Oak Care Center and Stone Oak Methodist Hospital until her health prevented her from working. She liked sports that she learned from her brother Carey; she also loved to embroidery and other handwork that she gave away as gifts to family and friends.
Meryl peacefully drew her last breath Friday, May 28, 2021 at 12:06 AM. She was preceded in death by her parents Harold H. and Joyce Ottmers and Brother Carey Ottmers.
