Tribute
On Thursday, December 2, 2021, William "Brad" Grant, 66, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by his loving family at a local hospital. He has gone along to join the many relatives and friends that preceded him. Brad was born on May 21, 1955 to Bill and Marie Grant in Chattanooga. Brad attended East Ridge schools where he graduated in 1973. He met Sharon, his wonderful wife of 46 years and together, they had two sons – JR (Melanie) and Nick (Juliet).

To know Brad is to know that he lived a full and busy life. From owning and running A&B Foods for 39 years, raising his family, being a reserve police officer and fishing for his latest catch on the lake, Brad loved life. He also loved his four grandchildren Hala, Will, Aubrey, and Barrett. His Facebook page is covered in pictures of his grandkids and his family, the things he loved most in this world.

Brad also loved giving back to his community of East Ridge. For the last several years, he played Santa for the annual East Ridge Needy Child Fund Christmas Party. He was the best Santa because he not only looked the part, he WAS Santa. From his beard down to his contagious laugh, Brad brought smiles to all the children (and adults!) that saw him in his Santa outfit. Brad was also a reserve police officer for the City of East Ridge for 28 years, working whenever and wherever he was needed.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6th, at 1pm in the South Crest Chapel with Owen Durham and Denny Manning officiating. Interment will follow in the Lakewood Memory Gardens South. Pallbearers will be Danny Norton, Michael Norton, Byron Simpson, David Robinson, Brandon Powell, and Chuck Bledsoe. Honorary pallbearers are the East Ridge Police Department and Harrison Bass Masters.

Condolences may be shared at lane-southcrestchapel.com

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 5th from 3-8pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, Rossville.

In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the East Ridge Needy Child Fund, 3712 Ringgold Road Box 103, East Ridge, TN 37412.
