Melki Johnson died last Friday, a well known real estate agent, of a stroke. The son of James Johnson, one of the earliest pioneers of this section who settled on a farm two miles north of Forest Grove. There, in 1849, Melki was born and grew up where he made his home, with exception of time in Tacoma and about three years in Portland.
He leaves a wife near Baker City; two brothers: S T of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Tolover (?), in California. Another brother, Ellison C died in San Francisco last January 23. Two sons of the latter are Wilber and Albert.
