BLOOMINGTON - Christopher A. Lane, 69, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:17 a.m. on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at his home.
There will be no services or visitation at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

Christopher A. Lane, 69, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:17 am on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at his home.
There will be no services or visitation at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wishbone Canine Rescue, Bloomington.
He was born June 3, 1952, in Clinton, son of Bill and Dorothy Grove Lane.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steve Lane.
Surviving are his daughter, Jennifer (Derek) Atteberry and two grandchildren, Caden and Deakon Atteberry.
In the early 90's, Chris relocated to Alabama and enjoyed his career at WalMart Supercenter, where he was a manager and supervisor. His work transferred him back to Central Illinois, where he retired from WalMart in Pontiac after 20 years of employment with the company. After his retirement, he worked part-time for Murray's Shoes in Bloomington. Chris was a martial arts enthusiast and was a 3rd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. He trained under Grand Master Hyong , PhD in hypnotherapy, of whom he admired and befriended. Chris competed nationally and internationally with his martial arts and he was proud to have placed 2nd at the US Nationals. With his passion for the martial arts, Chris opened and operated a dojang in Clinton, IL for several years.
