Katherine M (Hurley), widow of Martin Kane, died at the home, 70 Canterbury street, Thursday evening. She leaves two sons, John F. and Thomas J.; four daughters, Nellie C., Mary C., Annie T., wife of James J. Scanlan, and Katherine F. wife of James J. Mahoney, and one sister, Bridget Powers. She was a member of the Married Ladies Sodality and the league of the Sacred Heart of St. Peter's church. The funeral will be from the home Saturday morning with services in St. Peter's church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place in the family lot in St. John's cemetery.
The 1865 census indicates she was age 12 so date of birth would be 1853 +/- 1.
The 1880 census indicates she was age 26 so date of birth would be 1853 +/- 1.
The 1880 Worcester, MA census indicates she was Keeping House as wife of Martin Kane.
