Carol was born on July 18, 1940 to Frances Mae and Robert Lloyd Kelly in Fort Worth, TX.
She attended school in Fort Worth and San Angelo, where she was a charter member of the San Angelo Central High Tex-Anns. Carol graduated from Monterey Senior High School, in Lubbock, TX in 1958.
Carol met the love of her life Orville Fletcher in 1968 in Midland. They were married February 14, 1969.
In that same year they moved back to San Angelo, where they raised four children, Kenneth, Denise, Mark, and Pamela.
She worked as an executive secretary for an oil company, GTE, a local law firm, a local real estate agent and for the president of ASU.
Carol loved oil painting, embroidery, sewing and decorating. She loved nothing more than entertaining family and friends. Cooking was another one of her passions.
Carol was a member of Philia Club, Garden Club, several women's bridge clubs and a couples bridge clubs.
Carol is survived by her husband, Orville, daughters, Denise Smith and Pamela Sisi, sons, Kenneth Fletcher and Mark Fletcher, and his wife Liz, also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Frances, and her grandson, Mark Clayton Smith.
Honorary pallbearers will be Don Abel, Roy Green, Greg Gossett, Joe Henderson, Stormy Kimrey, Andy Smith, Jim Strapped, Dwain Walker and Bill Westbrook.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 5:00-6:00pm at Harper Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 2:00pm at First Christian Church of San Angelo. Burial will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Christian Church Building fund, American Lung Associations or Meals for the Elderly.
