Gordon Lee Acker, age 80, of St. Louis (Gratiot County), Michigan, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Arbor Grove Assisted Living in Alma (Gratiot County), Michigan.
Gordon was born June 4, 1941, the son of Howard and Blanche (Shunk) Acker.
Gordon was very proud of having walked the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day for 48 consecutive years and enjoyed tinkering with his cars, particularly his Volkswagens.
He retired out of Lobdell Emery.
Funeral services for Gordon will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at the Berry Funeral Home, in Shepherd (Isabella County), Michigan with the Pastor Jim Amstutz officiating with visitation at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Coe Township, Isabella County), Michigan.
Gordon is survived by his brother, Robert (Evelyn) Acker and sister-in-law, Betty Acker, all of St. Louis (Gratiot County), Michigan and many nieces and nephews who visited and assisted him in his later years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Donna Acker and one brother, Duane Acker.
The family would like to thank the staff of Arbor Grove for their care of Gordon. Memorials can be made on behalf of Gordon to the animal rescue or shelter of your choice.
