Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters. He is survived by four daughters, Susan E. Mays and her husband, James, of Arrington, Linda G. Taylor of Arrington, Nancy J. Collins of Powhatan, and Debra L. Thompson of Amherst; a son, Lewis W. Ramsey of Arrington; a brother, Ernest J. Ramsey of Lovingston; and nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday Feb. 3, 2005, at Oak Hill Cemetery, Lovingston with the Rev. John P. Campbell officiating The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home and suggest that memorials take the form of contribution to Oak Hill Cemetery, 248 Davis Creek Lane, Lovingston, Va 22949.
