Brenda Carolyn Horton, daughter of the late Lyman Lee Cook and Ada Evelyn Furlow Cook, was born on Saturday, July 14, 1945 in Kennett and departed this life on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at her residence in Kennett at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 7 days.

Brenda Carolyn Horton was a retired beautician having owned and operated her own business for many years.

On March 10, 1962 in Kennett, she was united in marriage to Gerald Horton.

Survivors include husband, Gerald of the home in Kennett; son, Billy Horton & his wife, Keythlea of Senath; daughter, Laura Horton of Kennett; granddaughters, Kaya & Lyndee Horton; brother, Steven Lyman Cook of Edmond, OK; sister, Shirley Jean Linley of Cape Girardeau; other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerald Lee Cook.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Burial will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Powell Funeral & Cremation Services, Kennett is in charge of arrangements.
