Ashley, ND-Funeral Service for Jeffrey Delane Klipfel, 60, of Ashley will be 10:30 am, Friday, November 19, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church. Deacon Deb Cantrell will officiate.

There will be a prayer service Thursday at 6:00 pm with visitation from 4:00-6:00 pm at the funeral home.

Jeffrey passed away peacefully November 13, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family after a nearly three-year courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Jeffrey Delane Klipfel was born February 17, 1961, to Roger Delane and Erna (Pfeifle) Klipfel in Wishek, ND. He grew up in Ashley attending Ashley Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1980 from Ashley High School. Jeffrey then attended school at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND graduating with a degree in Auto Body Mechanics.

Jeffrey was united in marriage to Jacqueline June Ruff on October 1, 1988, in Zion Lutheran Church, Ashley. Together, they raised three children, Bethany, Karalyn and Reanna. Jeffrey had various jobs throughout his life. He worked in Auto Body, Custom Harvest, owned his own farm and ranch and owning L and L Meat Market since 1999.

Jeff enjoyed trap shooting and reloading, gardening, planting trees, spending time with family, especially his grandkids. His daily activities included going to Northern Plains Co-Op for coffee with his friends and tending to the many animals he raised. He enjoyed incubating eggs, raising chickens, geese, ducks, guinea's, peacocks, turkeys and liked attending exotic animal sales.

Grateful for having shared Jeff's life are his wife of 33 years, Jacqueline; daughters, Bethany (Brad) Schlenker of Ashley, Karalyn (Jared) Hopkins of Mandan, ND, Reanna (Travis) Geiszler of Ashley; grandchildren, Braxton Schlenker, Isabell Klipfel, Oaklee Schlenker, Dawson Schlenker, Arley Geiszler; mother, Erna Klipfel of Ashley; siblings, Bradley (Teresa) Klipfel of Beulah, ND, Deborah (Todd) Salzer of Dickinson, ND, Jason (Denise) Klipfel of Mandan; mother-in-law, Lucille Ruff Rexine; and Godchild, McKenzie Klipfel and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, Julius and Ruth Klipfel, maternal grandparents, Gottlieb and Emelia Pfeifle, father-in-law, ElRoy Ruff, brother-in-law, Boyd Entzi and nephew, Jory Entzi.

Honorary Casket bearers will be Jeffrey's grandchildren and coffee buddies.

Casket bearers will be Randy Becker, John Bichler, Lenny Gross, Ross Litsey, Warren Martz and Randy Ulmer.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Red River Valley, Roger Maris Cancer Center, Bismarck Cancer Center, Sanford Oncology, Mayo Clinic and the Ashley Medical Center for professional service that was provided to Jeff and his family.
