Annie ("Ann") Lois Thornton Collins, 85, entered her eternal heavenly home on December 1, 2021. She was born October 6, 1936 to Bilbo and Lois Thornton in Walnut, Mississippi and was the oldest of seven children. After graduating from high school, she moved to Memphis, Tennessee. She met and married Bobby Collins in September of 1964 and was a devoted wife until his passing. She was a loving mother to her two children. She worked as a secretary at Stratton Warren and Sears Crosstown, before going to work as the office manager for Dr Robert McBurney and later, for Dr Christine Mroz where she remained until her retirement at the age of 70. She had a strong faith in Christ and was a dedicated member of Leawood Baptist Church for more than 55 years.
She is preceded in death by her father, Bilbo Thornton, her mother, Lois Lanier Thornton, her sister Janice Thornton, her brothers Perry Thornton and Billy Thornton, her husband Bobby Collins and her daughter, Audrey Collins.
