She retired from Kentucky State Government Department of Finance after 27 years of service. In her spare time, Daphne enjoyed time spent watching NASCAR races and listening to country music.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her loving husband, Michael Calvin Taylor; children, Michele Hale (John), Susannah Hutchins (Jody), Benjimin Taylor, and Destiney Taylor; siblings, Scottie Gaines, Dennis Burns, and Dawn Burns. She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, David Burns.
Graveside services will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery on Friday, December 10, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. David Smith officiating. Visitation will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
