Toni Nelson was born on October 25, 1937 in Germany and passed away peacefully on November 28, 2021 at Avow Hospice House in Naples, Florida after a lengthy illness.
Toni was an avid golfer, walker and movie goer. She enjoyed watching sunsets with family and friends from her beachfront condo in Naples, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Gregory Scott O'Neill of Kennebunk, Maine and his partner of many years, Michael Mohn. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Courtney Sailors, Brennan Sailors, Elise Sailors, and great grandson, Luca Montanaro, all of Perry, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Douglas Nelson and daughters, Traci Cheryl Sailors and Sandie Marie O'Neill.
Her final resting place will be at the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa, next to her much loved husband Doug.
