Toni was an avid golfer, walker and movie goer. She enjoyed watching sunsets with family and friends from her beachfront condo in Naples, Florida.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Gregory Scott O'Neill of Kennebunk, Maine and his partner of many years, Michael Mohn. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Courtney Sailors, Brennan Sailors, Elise Sailors, and great grandson, Luca Montanaro, all of Perry, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Douglas Nelson and daughters, Traci Cheryl Sailors and Sandie Marie O'Neill.
Her final resting place will be at the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa, next to her much loved husband Doug.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Avow Hospice of Naples, Florida or the American Cancer Society.
