Linda L Haines of Springfield, VT passed away on December 1, 2021, at her home after a period of declining health. She was born in Claremont, NH, on November 9, 1945, the daughter of Howard Seeley and Evelyn (Warren) Seeley.

She was graduate of Stevens High School and Houle's Beauty Academy.

On October 9, 1965 in Claremont, she married her high school sweetheart, Daniel Haines and together they raised two children.

Linda owned and operated Linda's Beauty Salon in Charlestown, NH. In 1978, the family moved to Springfield, VT and Linda has resided there ever since. She worked at the Springfield Hospital and later retired from Sullivan Nutrition where she was the Site Manager for the Meals on Wheels Program in Charlestown, NH. She was also the Vermont State Coordinator for TOPS program for several years until such time as she was needed at home to care for her ailing husband. Linda was also a volunteer at the Springfield Senior Center, teaching basic computer skills to seniors as well as coordinating the Holiday Bazaar for several years. Additionally, Linda was a member of the local Red Hats Society.

She enjoyed travelling and was able to see much of the United States. Cruising was a favorite past-time, and she took many cruises with her husband while he was in good health. They cruised the Eastern, Western and Southern Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Iceland and also a land and ocean cruise vacation to Alaska with life-long friends, Carmella and Bill Tenney. She also had a great fondness for Ireland and visited several times with friends, her husband and daughter and later with her lifelong friend, Ann Laflam. She loved the ocean and especially the Maine coastline. Family trips to Old Orchard Beach began in the early 1970's with her children and continued until just recently with her grandchildren.

Linda will forever be known for her unselfish and constant care for those that she loved. She will also be remembered for her quick wit and outspoken opinions. And those that sat at her dinner table (or those that simply walked thru her door) never went away hungry; she was superb cook.

She was predeceased by both of her parents as well as her husband and her beloved Golden Retriever, Lady.

Surviving family includes her son, Glen Haines and his wife, Brenda of Springfield, VT and her daughter, Beth Lyons and her husband, Glenn of Pittsburg, NH; her most cherished grandchildren: Anna Haines of Springfield, VT, Danny Haines of Scarborough, ME and Stephen Snediker of Worcester, MA. She also leaves behind her sister, Donna Reynolds and her husband, Bob of Sunapee, NH and nephew, Bob Reynolds and his wife, Kristi of Charlestown, NH.

Burial services for immediate family will be held at a later date.
