Marlow - EVA MAE LANG, 83, of Marlow, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008, in Marlow.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel in Marlow, with the Rev. Jimmy Green officiating. Burial will be in Marlow Cemetery.
Eva was born March 19, 1924, in Marlow, to Hubert Wesley Rowell and Nona Bell Bibles Rowell. She married George Aaron Lang on April 6, 1939, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death in 1981.
Eva lived in the Marlow area all of her life. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She loved to take care of her flowers and to go fishing. She was an avid cook and her family loved her homemade biscuits. She was known to the members of her family as "Mother".
Survivors include a son, Rick Lang and wife Debbie of Duncan; a daughter, Seretta Mayes of Rush Springs; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lorene Lewis of Madera, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Mickey Lang; a sister, Pauline Roach; two brothers, H.W. and Paul Rowell; and a son-in-law, Cookie Mayes.
Pallbearers will be John Lang, Joe Lang, Matt Lang, Rusty Mayes, Ryan Mayes, Ryan Stewart and Brad Throckmorton.
Honorary bearer is David Mayes.
