Jennifer Nicole Conroy (Green), devoted wife of Mark Christopher Conroy and loving mother of Donovan Thomas James Conroy, entered into eternal life on Monday, November 29, 2021, with her husband by her side.

She led a life dedicated to the things she was most passionate about – family, children, and teaching.

Born in Saratoga Springs, New York on August 12, 1983, Jennifer was the daughter of Michael and Mary Kate (Collins) Green.

She grew up in Glenville and graduated from Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School in 2001.

After high school Jennifer attended Elmira College in Elmira, New York, where she was a member of Phi Eta Sigma and Kappa Delta Pi. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2005 and was accepted immediately into New York City's Summer in the City teaching program before moving on to PS 138 in Brooklyn that fall.

While at PS 138 Jennifer completed graduate studies at Touro College in Brooklyn, New York, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Special Education in 2008.

Jennifer returned upstate in 2008, accepting a position with the Maplewood School District, and continued her career with the North Colonie Central School District after the two districts merged, serving as a reading teacher at Southgate Elementary School and Loudonville Elementary School.

Jennifer found her forever home as an elementary teacher in 2013 at Boght Hills Elementary School in Latham, and had taught most recently in the school's remote teaching program during the 2020-2021 school year.

She was a member of the New York State Teachers' Retirement System and New York State United Teachers.

On January 3, 2010, Jennifer met the love of her life, Mark Christopher Conroy, and they were married on October 13, 2013; their son Donovan Thomas James was born on May 5, 2016.

Jennifer was a loving, devoted wife and mother who put all her time and energy into her family. It was a rare occasion when Jennifer, Mark, and Donovan were not together. As a family, they cherished and enjoyed the opportunities to experience life with and through one another when golfing, fishing, doing puzzles, playing board games, camping in the backyard, visiting baseball stadiums around the country, taking day and weekend trips, dancing and listening to music, walking their beloved dog Zoey, or just enjoying silly time at home. Jennifer aspired to be the very best possible wife, mother, and teacher and refused to allow anything else define who she was or how she lived, despite the hand she was dealt and journey she ultimately faced.

Jennifer was a parishioner of Saint Clement's Roman Catholic Church in Saratoga Springs, where she served as a lector.

She was a student athlete in high school and college, playing soccer, basketball and running track in high school, and soccer and basketball at Elmira College.

Outside of her personal athletic accomplishments at Elmira, Jennifer was a student athletic trainer for the men's basketball team, and belonged to the college's concert ensemble, serving as secretary.

Jennifer coached the fifth and sixth grade boys' basketball team while at Maplewood, served as district instructional technology leader for the North Colonie Central School District, and ran her own cosmetics business, Color Street by Conroy.

Jennifer lived life to the fullest and when she walked into a room the party began. With Jennifer, life was indeed a musical and a sing a long – filled with countless Broadway themes and Disney songs! She was always coming up with contests at school and managed to get everyone involved (knowing of course that she would win).

Jennifer's passion for children and teaching extended outside the boundaries of the typical Monday through Friday school week. She organized and devoted herself to many extracurricular activities, including weekend field trips to the Saratoga National Historical Park and, in 2017, developing a Kindness Rocks initiative for her fourth graders.

Jennifer is survived by her husband Mark and son Donovan, parents Michael and Mary Kate Green of Glenville, sister Stefanie Morici (Matt) of Falls Church, Virginia, mother-in-law Lynn Conroy (widow of Kevin Thomas Conroy) of Ballston Spa, brothers-in-law Christopher (Mandi) of Waterford, Brian of Saratoga Springs, and Kevin (Jennifer) of Sidney Center, New York, nieces and nephews Jack and Noah Morici, and Kaeli, Jenna, Peter, Sophie, Natalie, Anthony, Erin, and Isabella Conroy, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jennifer was predeceased by her grandparents James G. and M. Jeanne Collins and Dexter and Frances Green.

For nearly eleven years, Jennifer undertook a journey she begrudgingly recognized, yet refused to accept on any terms other than hers alone. Through defiance, grit, determination, stubbornness, bravery, courage, and an iron will, she rejected all traditional labels of illness and would not let a disease dictate her future. Jennifer's vision for life remained steadfast. She earned and embraced the labels that mattered most to her: Mother; Wife; Daughter; Sister; Niece; Aunt; Cousin; Daughter-in-law; Sister-in-law; Friend; and Teacher. At the end of her journey, it wasn't about a battle she won or lost – it was about her enduring legacy, unconditional love, cherished moments she created, and the countless lives she touched. Jennifer will endlessly be so deeply, deeply loved and missed.

Interment at Saint Peter's Cemetery on West Avenue in Saratoga Springs.
