Ivan was a retired employee of Conagra and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing cards.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Hilbert Taylor, his son-in-law, Paul Douglas Herth, a grandson, Matthew Ivan Herth, a brother, Tom Taylor and his sister, Carletta Jewell.
He is survived by his wife, Cherry Taylor, 2 daughters, Debbie (Dave) Wilson of Crestwood, Joyce Herth of Mt. Washington, 6 grandsons, Aaron (Hanna) Wilson, Tyler (Cameron) Wilson, Jared Wilson, Austin Wilson, Daniel (Aleah) Herth, Adam (Lauren) Herth, 6 great grandchildren, Lila, Grey and Clementine Wilson, Rowan and Silas Wilson, Ezra Herth and baby brother due in May, 3 stepchildren, Donnie O'Connor of Louisville, Kelly Goad of Taylorsville, Sandy Goad of Bowling Green, his brother, Douglas (Jackie) Taylor of Bloomfield, his sister-in-law, Odean Taylor of Louisville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Ivan Taylor will be 12:00 noon Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home in Taylorsville. Interment will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00-8:00 pm and Wednesday after 9:00 am. The Greenwell-Houghlin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
