Vickie Lynn Walker, 71, of Bagley died on November 29, 2021 at Essentia Health of Fargo, ND.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Irvin Blix American Legion Post #16 in Bagley, Minnesota with the Pastor Todd Klemme officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Legion. Interment will be held at the Nora Township Cemetery at Bagley, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with arrangements.
Vickie Lynn Hegg was born June 9, 1950 in Bagley Mn to Lester Hegg and Mayme (Wilson) Boe. She was baptized at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in June of 1950. She attended Bagley High School, graduating in 1968. She married Larry Walker on December 12, 1967. They later divorced. She furthered her education at Bemidji Vocational School in 1981, graduating as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the spring of 1982. She was a longtime employee of the Jack & Jill Store in Bagley. She also enjoyed her nursing jobs and loved her patients/residents at Greensview Nursing Home, Clearwater County Memorial Hospital, Beltrami County Nursing Home, and Cornerstone Residence of Fosston. She also worked at Silver Creek Saloon in Shevlin, Bagley American Legion, and Side Track Tap in Leonard, retiring in 2012.
Vickie had a heart of gold, she always taking care of others, even when she couldn't take care of herself. She loved shopping and rarely drove past a Dollar store without stopping, she always had some craft project in the works. But she mostly liked spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter - Jodi (Vincent) Walker-O'Beirne of Bemidji, MN; son James Walker of Bagley, MN; grandson-Kyle (Samantha) O'Beirne; granddaughter - Whitney (Adam) Loisel; grandson - Tyler (Maria) O'Beirne; all of Bemidji, MN; granddaughter - KatieJo (Greggory Hinrichs) Walker of Shevlin, MN; 5 great grandsons; sisters - Eileen (Arlen) Syverson; Jeanne (Bob Moen) Davis; and Darlene Martine; all of Bagley, MN. Kristie (Tom) Lindahl of Guthrie, MN; Dorene (Bob) King; Darlene Loop; and Connie Westover; all of California. brothers - James "Butch" (Kathy) Boe; Rick (Marlys) Boe; both of Bagley, MN; Randy (Stacy Custer) Boe of McIntosh, MN; Henry (Irma) Boe of Ohio; Wayne (Loretta) Hegg of Washington; brother-in-law - David Swenson of Bagley, MN; special friends-Terry O'Byran and Craig Knutson of Bagley, MN; special nephew -Prestyn Rose and niece Tara (Dan) Platow of Bagley, MN; and also many other nieces and nephews.
