Norma Lee Carey, age 66, of Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Westbrook Assisted Living & Memory Care while surrounded by her family.

Norma was born in Hays, Kansas, on December 26, 1954, to Delbert and Carol (Schmidt) Moeder.

She married Dana R. Carey on October 31, 1997, and he survives in Nevada, Ohio.

Norma is also survived by two daughters; Sharon (Doug) Stewart of Richwood, Ohio, and Christine (Troy) Barnes of Silt, Colorado, seven grandchildren: Dallas (Dylan) Neff, Bailey (Chevy) Irwin, Lexi Stewart, Chelsea (Josh) Lynch, Tessa (Kyle) Barnes, Jake Barnes, and Treyton Barnes, and four great grandchildren: Lane, Kasey, Colter, and Omri. Norma is also survived by her sister Cindy Aitken and her beloved dog Fritz.

Norma was preceded in death by her stepson Adam Michael Carey.

Norma enjoyed staying at home, cooking and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed collecting elephant figurines.

Services for Norma Lee Carey will be held at a later date in Colorado.
