David Monroe Alford, 80 of Wilson passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson. Pastor Jonathan Ange will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 1 – 2:30 p.m. at Joyner's Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson.

David is survived by Carolyn Alford, his wife; Sonya Griffin, daughter and husband, Greg, and Cynthia Vick, daughter and husband, Kelly; Michael Alford, son and wife, Amanda; and grandchildren, Maddie Vick, Abby Vick, McKenna Griffin, Jeremiah Alford, Daniel Alford, Miranda Alford, Gabriel Alford and Tabitha Alford, and, Shirley Hinton, his sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel Berry Alford and Lessie Braswell Alford.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of David's caregivers, for their support, care and love that was given to him.
