Ana R. Rodriguez, 61, of Burlington, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at her home.

Born in Yurecuaro, Michoacan, Mexico on May 12, 1960, she was the daughter of Jose and Carmen (nee Perez) Garcia. Her early life was spent in Mexico until the age of 10 when she moved to the US. She graduated from Bowen High School in Chicago and earned a CNA degree from Gateway Technical College. On February 23, 1985 at Immaculate Conception Church in South Chicago, she was united in marriage to Luis Rodriguez. Following marriage, they resided in Chicago for 3 years, before moving to Joliet, and ultimately residing in Burlington since 1997.

Ana worked as a certified nursing assistant at Lakeland Healthcare Center and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. When she was able, she loved cooking, baking and knitting.

Ana is survived by her mother, Carmen Garcia; husband, Luis Rodriguez; children, Christine (Josh) Oldenberg, Jennifer (Ryan) Urness, Luis Rodriguez Jr. and Julie (Devon) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Callie and Parker Oldenberg, Alexa, Amaya and Alina Urness, and Carter, Vincent, Emilia and Roman Albert; siblings, Jesus Garcia, Maria Teresa Grillot, Liduvina Soria, Luz Maria Contreras, Rafael Garcia, Alberto Garcia, Silvia Perez and Jose Garcia Jr. She was preceded in death by her father, Jose Garcia; mother-in-law, Maria Guadalupe Estrada Arias; and father-in-law, Roberto Roseldo Rodriguez Lopez.

The family would like to thank Dr. Haider and staff at Aurora Cancer Center, Dr. Randall Schmidt, Nurse Shelly and the Aurora at Home Hospice Team for their care and compassion during this time.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at St. Mary Immaculate Conception in Burlington. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 7th at Schuette-Daniels Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 1:15PM.
