Graveside Services for Billy Jackson will be held 2pm Monday, December 6, 2021 at Cook Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery.
Billy was born in a small community outside of Rockdale, TX on August 6, 1931. Prior to moving to Lake Travis in 1963, he resided in Houston for 28 years. After graduating from Galena Park High School where he excelled in basketball and football, he attended Victoria Jr. College on a basketball scholarship. He later worked in the Chemist Lab for Champion Papers from 1952 to 1965.

After moving to Austin in 1963, he was in the restaurant business from 1965 to 1973. He owned LaHacienda Restaurant, a landmark on Lake Travis, from 1971 to 1974. From 1974 to 1989 he was a manufacturers representative until becoming a distributor in 1989. His favorite pastime was landscaping and working in his garden, when he was not boating on Lake Travis.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Carol; son, Wesley; parents, Van and Margie Jackson; brothers, Leon Jackson and Dennis Jackson; sister-in-law, Linda Jackson; in-laws, Moss and Louise Turnley; sister-in-law, Wanda Turnley; sister, Katy Simms and brother-in-law, Matt Simms. Billy is survived by his brother, Jimmy Jackson and his wife Mickie of Gatesville, TX and Don Jackson and his wife Debbie of New Waverly, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Happy Hill Farm, 3846 TX-144, Granbury, TX 76048.
