Waynesville-Ella Hunter Hildebrand McElroy, 84 passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at her residence. Ella was born on October 10, 1937, to the late Grover and Juanita Roth Hildebrand. She was a lifelong Lutheran and was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she and her husband Charlie spent many hours volunteering. Ella loved working in her garden. She really enjoyed decorating for and celebrating holidays. Ella was a hard working woman who was loyal to her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Ella was preceded in death by her brother and sister.
Ella is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Charlie McElroy; daughter, Patty Knappenberger; and son, Matt Prunty.
It was Ella's wish that there be no services.
