Marsha K Bergs, age 67, of Lebanon, passed away Tuesday morning, November 30, 2021, at Bethesda North Hospital after a short illness. She was born on September 23, 1954, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, daughter of the late Densel and Lillian Lower. She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon Senior High School.

Marsha married Chris Bergs on June 1, 1985. Anyone who had the opportunity to spend time with them witnessed their love for each other, which was unlike any we have ever seen. They were inseparable and doted on each other. They loved spending their time together, whether it was cooking for family, sitting on their deck watching birds, attending Cincinnati Reds games, supporting their community by volunteering at so many events, vacationing together in warm sunny places, or sitting in their living room enjoying good books.

She loved the people in her life with such passion, lending an ear and supporting family and friends in need, attending her grandchildren's sporting and dance events and cheering them on, giving big hugs that made people feel like everything was going to be all right, and planning family events with care - pouring love into each one - her goal to bring happiness to everyone there.

Marsha was an incredible cook. She created gourmet meals using recipes from the cookbooks she loved or she could open a refrigerator, pull out a variety of items and without any recipe in hand, create a delightful meal that any four-star restaurant would love to have on their menu. Her greatest joy in her cooking was making her family happy with what she made for them.

A certified Master Gardener and our own "Martha Stewart" when it came to turning her home into a showplace, Marsha loved white flowers the most and created an incredible set of gardens behind and beside their home. She and Chris enjoyed taking walks with family on the paths and showing them her flowers and telling stories around the firepit in the evenings.

Marsha will be dearly missed by her cherished husband, Chris Bergs, of Lebanon; her two daughters: Stephanie Ramsey of Cincinnati and Alison Laird of Lebanon; her two step-daughters: Jerica Bergs of Reynoldsburg and Krista (Jim) Bergs McGowan of Dallas, Texas; 8 grandchildren: Jobey (Kristen) Parkes, Alan Laird, Baylee (Erick) Conn, Calvin Fenton, Mason McGowan, Samantha McGowan, Maddox McGowan, and Bodie McGowan; 1 great-granddaughter: Isabelle Parkes; her mother-in-law, Jeanne Bergs Sheppleman; her 2 brothers Robert (Kay) Lower and Phil (Shirley) Lower and 3 sisters Linda (George) Vogt, Brenda (Dave) Parr and Doris (Dave) Schnormeier; her many nieces and nephews; and her close friends. As a family member shared this week, "Sometimes life really doesn't make sense, but I know we are better for knowing Marsha and being loved by her."

In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Rupert Bergs.

Marsha's family will greet friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on December 5, 2021 at Stine Funeral Home, 801 Monroe Rd, Lebanon. Services to celebrate her life will take place at the funeral home at 2 p.m. on the same day. The family kindly asks that you wear a mask while attending visitation and/or funeral services. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Lebanon Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Marsha's name may be made to the Lebanon Public Library, 101 S. Broadway St., Lebanon OH 45036.
