Scottsdale - Services for Mrs. Rita M. Tretheway, 76, a former director of the Arizona Funeral Directors Association, will b at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Carr Mortuary, 26 E. Fifth St., Temp.
Mrs. Tretheway, 6360 E. Weldon, died Friday at Scottsdale Baptist Hospital. She was born in Payson, moved to Tempe when she was 5 and graduated from Tempe Normal College in 1913. A licensed funeral director, she operated Miles Mortuary in Miami from 1937 to 1951 and was head of the AFDA in 1948-49.
She moved to Julian, Calif., in 1951 and returned here last May.
Survivors include three son, J.N. Miles of Miami, William C. Miles of Scottsdale and Louis P. Miles of California; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Moeur and Mrs. Ruth Refsnes, both of Phoenix, and Mrs. Emma Allen of Vincennes, Ind.; one brother, Ben Cole of Miami; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Burial will be in Double Butte Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
