James Lisle Harmon, 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 in Henryville, Indiana surrounded by family. Mr. Harmon was born on March 9, 1934 in Lebanon, KY the son of Robert Harmon and Lucille Burdette Harmon.

He was a member of Salem First Baptist Church. He was a member of the East Washington Rural Water Board and Washington County Cattleman's Association. He was a volunteer for 4-H and 911 coordinator for Washington County. James was a 1953 graduate of Lebanon High School, and a Korean War Army veteran. He was a retired mailing supervisor for Louisville Gas and Electric, where he worked for 37 years.

He is survived by his spouse of 65 years Kathleen Ashton Harmon. He is also survived by his sons: James E. Harmon (Linda), Kelsie Harmon (Patty), daughter: Kathy Deardorff (Stephen), and sister: Audrey Schaefer (Bob), 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert T. and Lucille Harmon, brothers: Elwood Harmon, Robert Harmon, Wilbur Harmon, A.B. Harmon, a sister: Elizabeth Russell, and great-granddaughter: Addison Hart.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7PM and Friday from 10:00AM-time of service.
