Alex J. Dreher, 80, Plainville, died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007.

Mr. Dreher was born Dec. 9, 1927, in Schoenchen.

He owned Dreher's Tank Service for 35 years, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine, of the home; two daughters, Cathy Meier of Wichita and Laura Wells of Douglasville, Ga.; two sons, Ronald of Wichita and Stephen of Plainville; four sisters, Angeline Herrman of La Crosse, Rosina Rohr of Garden City, Agnes Spies of Salina and Lillian VanHooser of Andover; five brothers, Walter of Pratt, Edwin of Plainville, Irvin of Hays, Norbert of Salina, Ernest of Hoisington; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A parish vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the church, followed by a Knights of Columbus rosary.

Memorials may be made to the church or Sacred Heart School or for Masses, in care of Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville 67663.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday with a Ladies Guild rosary said at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
