The Obituary of Carrie Lee Hall 1935 – 2021

"May the work I've done speak for me"

On Saturday, November 13, 2021, God called one of his true Angels home to rest.

Ms. Carrie Lee Hall, the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva Ray Hall, was born January 10, 1935, in Brooks County, Georgia. She was educated and graduated from the Brooks County School System.

She joined Dillinoy CME Church in Morven, Georgia, at an early age and continued to be a faithful member until her passing. She was also a member of the Dillinoy Senior Choir for many years. She was known for her beautiful voice and her delicious sour cream pound cake. She worked for the Valdosta City School System for many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Gussie Thomas, Lena Wilkes, Ella Mae Peoples, Hattie Smith, and Henrietta Larry and her brother Jimmy T. Hall; as well as a favored niece Willie Mae Lately.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories her loving sons, Donald (Jeanette) Hall of Alpharetta, GA and Steven (Sheila) Hall of Valdosta, GA; her grandchildren Kathy Nicole Hall of Alpharetta, and Andrew Steven and Christopher Steven Hall of Valdosta; three sisters Sadie Roe and Loretta Gibbs of Valdosta, Emma L. Merritt of Mims, FL; brothers Eugene (Inez) Hall and John Hall of Quitman, GA and Robert (Joan) Hall of Valdosta. Also left to lament her passing are a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1PM at Pineview Cemetery in Morven, GA. Visitation will be Friday at the Stevens-McGhee Chapel from 2PM-7PM. Visit this website or our Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home Facebook page to view a livestream of the celebration on Saturday.
