A native Kentuckian, she was born in Breckinridge County. She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Peace and five siblings.
She is survived by: two sons, Tom (Deloris) and Joe; grandchildren, Karen and David; and, sister, Ethel Scott.
Mary Jo was a homemaker and she loved to garden, paint, quilt, hike, and just being outdoors. She was a member of New Horizon Baptist Fellowship Church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 4400 Dixie Highway. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 pm until time of service.
Due to COVID restrictions masks are to be worn during visitation and services and social distancing is expected.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Alzheimer's Association, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, KY 40205.
