Sheryl Ann "Shawn" Jones, age 78, of Oklahoma City, OK, met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, surrounded by loved ones. Shawn was born May 11, 1943 in Oklahoma City, OK, to Imogene and Michael Allison. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael. She is survived by her cousins, William Alexander, Sondra Hawk, Allison Huey, Gary Whitaker, and Larry Whitaker.

For years, Shawn lived and worked as a legal assistant for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, OK, but moved back to Oklahoma City to help care for her parents. Shawn became a Mary Kay beauty consultant in 1998 where she was a top seller from the start. Shawn devoted decades of her life to helping women look and feel beautiful and was a Star Consultant in the company for 60 quarters, achieving the Mary Kay National Area Princess Court of Sales five times. She was also awarded the highest honor in Mary Kay, the Miss Go-Give Award, multiple times. She always called Mary Kay, "Her fun job," because nothing brought her more happiness than connecting with people.

Shawn was actively involved in several business networking and community service groups, including being a long time member of Oklahoma Hospitality Club where she served many years as the OHC Chaplain. Shawn's devotionals and prayer always left members feeling happy and inspired! She was deeply devoted to being a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was called to walk friends, family members and even strangers through life's difficulties and joys through prayer, fellowship, and Bible study. Shawn was a dedicated friend, neighbor, lifelong learner and lover of great food, excellent conversation and a good cup of coffee. While we will miss her stunning smile, boisterous and genuine laugh and beautiful prayers, we know she is with her Lord and Savior, and one day, we will all reunite once again.

A visitation for Shawn will be held Thursday, December 9, 2021 from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors, 6600 Broadway Extension, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 10, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Directors.

Accomplishments of Sheryl Ann "Shawn" Jones - Ginger Thompson, Mary Kay Sales Director, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Shawn attended her first Mary Kay Skin Care Class held by Debbie Bigbee. Shawn loved the Mary Kay products and signed her agreement on May 22, 1998.

Shawn was a top seller in Mary Kay from the start. She always attended Mary Kay training and our weekly unit meetings. I quickly realized this woman was hard charging and had a thirst for knowledge about the products and how they worked.

Shawn worked every facet of her Mary Kay business. Within a few years of joining Mary Kay, Shawn became number one in Sales in our Unit and was number one every year thereafter. Shawn was a Star Consultant for 60 quarters which is five years of consistent performance as a top seller in the Company. Shawn achieved the Mary Kay National Area Princess Court of Sales five times.

In Mary Kay, receiving a Red Jacket means you are moving up in your business and nobody was more proud of receiving her Red Jacket than Shawn Jones! She wore that trophy with great pride and advanced herself from Star Recruiter to Team Leader, Elite Team Leader and in 2014, Director in Qualification. While Shawn was in Director Qualification she achieved a Gold Medal for team building. Shawn built a team of achievers and it has been my joy and honor to meet and work with the fantastic women that were a part of Shawn's team.

One of the highest honors in all of Mary Kay is the Go-Give award which epitomizes the ultimate achievement that Mary Kay valued in business, which is going above and beyond in helping others develop and achieve success. The Go-Give award is based on the Golden Rule, a caring spirit, the willingness to help others, and a generosity of giving. Shawn was our Unit Go-Give Award winner for over ten years and was always volunteering to help at meetings and events with her adopted Directors, Kaye Hemphill and Debbie Dwiggins. These ladies are incredible Go Give Directors and they loved Shawn and helped Shawn grow personally and in her business.

There are so many things that could be said about Shawn and her Mary Kay business success, but one way to characterize Shawn is that she challenged herself and others to be a better person, a better Beauty Consultant, and a better leader. Shawn drove herself toward success and achievement. She was hard working and very focused on her goals for all of the 23 years that she was in Mary Kay. We will all miss Shawn's laughter and fun spirit.

I was blessed to pray with Shawn regularly over the last 23 years. She loved her Lord Jesus and He was evident in her life. We had a relationship much deeper than Director/Consultant. She knew all of my family, grandchildren and even my grand dog, Hank.

On the morning of November 30 at the right time, I called the Hospice Hospital where Shawn's dear friend and neighbor, Candice answered the phone. She held the phone to Shawn's ear and with courage from the Lord, I was able to tell Shawn how much I appreciated her and how much I loved her. I told her how excited I was that she was going to be with Jesus. Then, I began to pray over her. Within minutes of my Amen and hanging up the phone, I received a call from Candice who told me Shawn took her last breath and now was with Jesus. Oh, how that has comforted my heart and will be a memory I will hold in my heart forever.

My prayer is that we will keep the memories of Shawn's loving spirit close to our hearts and honor her today by treating each other with the same Go-Give attitude that was such a part of her life.
