Resource: The Book, "The Paxton Family", by William McClung Paxton, (1903) (Landmark Print, Platte City, Missouri)
In this Book; "The Paxton Family", Isabella (#G), pg 71, has no life dates, but is being confused with Isabella (#78), pg 262.
Pg 71: Isabella Paxton (#G) is d/o Capt John (#8) Paxton and Phoebe Alexander and married Hugh Paxton, Oct 20, 1802;
Pg 262: Isabella Paxton (#78) is d/o William Paxton and Eleanor Hays and married Andrew Alexander, 27 Mar 1800.

The Statement, "Her stone apparently no longer stands but a transcription and testimony that she is buried in Glasgow" (Stated from previous memorial manager), is Isabella Paxton (1782~1835) that married Hugh Paxton. NOT THIS Isabella.

On page 71 of this Paxton Family Book, it gives an epitaph of, "Isabella Paxton, wife of Hugh Paxton, was born Oct 17, 1782 and died Oct 13, 1835. Hugh Paxton died Nov 4, 1838". This would be the d/o Capt John Paxton (#8) and Phoebe Alexander and has the correct connection. She married a cousin. (THIS would be Isabella (Paxton) Paxton 148079731.

The Isabella "Ibby" Paxton that married Andrew Alexander, is found in the 1850 Census as Isabella Alexander, b. 1775, in VA, and apparently is living with Samuel Cummins, her son-in-law, and his children. Samuel is at the bottom of one Census page (#325) and his children, Isabella P, Sarah A, John A, Phebe E, along with Isabella, Amanda and Archibald Cummins are on the other page (#326)? Two of Isabella's children, Amanda (age 36) and Archibald F Alexander (age 46), are also in the home. Isabella's daughter, Phoebe that married Samuel Cummins is not found? (To find these pages you have to look up Isabella and all these children and for Samuel do a separate search as they are not lined up on Ancestry).

The two of Isabella and Andrew Alexander's children that married Cummins are Isabella (the daughter) who married Andrew Cummins and Phoebe who married Samuel Cummins. This Census is on the 26 Aug 1850 in Rockbridge County, VA. Andrew Alexander had died in February 1850. Findagrave records say she died in 1900? Then where was she in 1850?. I believe she died before 1850 and why Grandmother (Isabella) is living there to help, as well as just being widowed herself.

Andrew Alexander and Isabella (Paxton) Alexander, had the following known Children:
1) Sarah Reid Alexander (1802~1907), married James McClung
2) Archibald F Alexander (1804~????) died in Amherst County, VA, never married
3) Phoebe A Alexander (1807~????) married Samuel Cummins
4) Elizabeth Alexander (????~????) never married
5) Amanda Alexander (1814~????) never married
6) Isabella M Alexander (1818~Aug 1892) married Andrew R Cummins
