Robert Eugene Jacobs, 69, of Raymond, NE passed away November 28, 2021. He was born May 06, 1952 in Lincoln, NE to Frank and Mary (Mara) Jacobs.
Bob was raised on a farm in the Davey/Ceresco area. He attended grade school at country school Dist. #68 Ceresco and High School at Bishop Neumann in Wahoo.
He was Baptized and Confirmed at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Davey, NE and later attended the Raymond United Methodist Church.
On May 10, 1980 Bob became a family man when he married Sally (Sterns), together they raised 3 children; Mike, Sarah, and Jennifer. Bob enjoyed sports throughout his life. His athletic ability was shared with baseball teams in Davey/Ceresco, and football, basketball teams at Wahoo Bishop Neumann. He coached Midget Football, T-Ball, and all of his grandkids in the proper techniques of pitching, throwing, and shooting. He loved attending many of his grandkids sports games, FFA, and 4-H events.
For 46 years, Bob worked for the Lancaster County Engineering Department. His hobbies were work related: farming his great grandparent's farm, being part of the "Harvest Crew" & always checking the condition of the gravel roads.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, of Raymond, NE; son, Michael (Becky) Grant, of Touhy, NE; daughters, Sarah Paxton, of Tryon, NE, and Jennifer (Doug) Nelson, of Ceresco, NE. Grandchildren, Mekayla (Everett) Isaacson, Alecia (Sawyer) Hanna, Tyler Grant, Jesse Paxton (Fiancé, Sloane Tiarks), Nick Nelson (Fiancé, Ella Wallace), Duke Nelson, Jade Paxton, Jack Nelson, Cade Grant, Addison Grant, and Bailey Grant. Great grandchildren, Preslie and Ayda Isaacson. Brother, Frank (Connie) Jacobs, of Ceresco, NE; and sister, Jessye (Dave) Goertz, of Brock, NE. Lifelong friend, Dave Halla, and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by his parent, Frank and Mary, and parents-in-law, Loretta and Cal Sterns.
