Dawn E. Miller (Callahan), of Aurora, IL, passed away on November 26, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born, along with her twin sister Donna, on October 15, 1933 in Aurora, IL where she lived her entire life. She graduated from East Aurora High School and married her husband of 64 years, Elmer D. Miller, in 1955. Not long after moving into their forever home Elmer built for the two of them, Dawn found her true calling as a mother to her daughter Larke.

After they were married, Dawn worked at Allsteel and then she enjoyed working at Walt's Bakery in the 70's. She loved volunteering with the Girl Scouts, and participating in many events at Bethany United Methodist Church of Fox Valley. She was probably most known for baking cakes and cookies for countless events, organizations, and friends. To many, she was known as the "cookie lady". Dawn loved spending time with her three grandchildren, who will admit they were very spoiled by her.

Over the years, Dawn and Elmer shared many adventures and made a lifetime of memories. They frequently traveled around the Midwest, visited friends and family (and sometimes even a casino or two) all over the country, and even took their daughter's girl scout troop on a trip to Hawaii. Dawn will always be remembered as a loving, kind, and generous wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend.

Dawn is survived by her daughter, Larke Curnock and son-in-law David M. Curnock, her three grandchildren, Lindsey (Nate) Greviskes, Allison (Eric) Sulita, and David J. (Caitlin) Curnock, as well as her great-granddaughter Hayden Greviskes and many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Miller, her parents Jack and Bessie Callahan, her brother Bill (Gloria Anne) Callahan, and her twin sister Donna (Cliff) Monkameier.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a visitation that will be held from 9-11 AM on Sat. December 4th, 2021 at Bethany of Fox Valley United Methodist Church, 2200 Ridge Avenue, Aurora, Il. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Lincoln Memorial Park at 675 US 30, Oswego, Il. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Bethany of Fox Valley United Methodist Church Memorial Committee, on which Dawn served for many years.
