Laura Fey Taylor, 95, of Boone, Iowa passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021, at the Boone County Hospita in Boone after a brief illness.

Laura was born on June 25, 1926, in Boone, Iowa, she was the fifth daughter of Antoinette (DeJong) and Oscar Fey. She attended the University of Iowa.

Laura was united in marriage to Frederick Guy Taylor in 1945, in Boone, while Fred was on leave from the U.S. Army. Laura and Fred enjoyed traveling, and spent many winters in Arizona.

Laura was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. She was also a member of PEO and volunteered at the Ericson Public Library.

Laura spent most of her life in Boone, and made many friends who have been very caring and much appreciated by Laura and her family.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Lee Anne Taylor (Robert Nigro) of Kiawah Island, South Carolina; son, Lauren Taylor (Karry) of Clear Lake, Iowa; and son, Fred Taylor of Tempe, Arizona; four grandchildren, Jessica Taylor Erwin (James), Graig Taylor, Jacob Taylor, and Kayla Taylor; and two great-grandchildren, Silas and Archie Erwin.

Laura was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; and her four sisters.

Per Laura's wishes, no services will be held immediately, but a Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
