Norman (Larry) Johnson, age 74, passed away peacefully at his home on November 24, 2021 surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Leota Johnson; two sisters, Hope Beaty and Patricia Oliver; and a brother, Stephen Johnson.

Norman was born in Muncie, Indiana on February 25, 1947 to Everett and Leota Johnson. He worked at General GMC Truck Sales for more than 40 years before his retirement. He also restored classic cars with his brother, especially Mustangs and Thunderbirds. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish and hunt. Some of his greatest joy came from casting a fishing line with his daughters and granddaughters or enjoying a weekend away fishing or hunting with friends.

Family and friends may call at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and for one hour before the funeral.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. His ashes will be spread at his beloved farm in a private service at a later date.
