Roderick R. Connally, 96, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday November 27, 2021.
Rod was part of the greatest generation, proudly serving his country in both WWII and the Korean War. He retired after 25 years as a Sargent First Class in the Army as a part of the 82nd Airborne, 101st Calvary and Elite Special Forces. He later retired as a civilian from Anderson Hospital. Rod was a member of Middleton Road Baptist Church. He was a dedicated Husband, Father, and Grandfather who will be fondly remembered and missed by those he leaves behind.
He is survived by his daughter, Marcel Jarrett (Joe), five Grandchildren, seven Great Grandchildren, and three Great-Great Grandchildren. Rod was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Mary Frances Bagwell Connally, sons Terry and Kenneth Connally.
A graveside service will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, where he will receive full Military Honors.
